Spray one side of the plate thoroughly with Windex or another ammonia based glass cleaner, scrub the wire mesh vigorously in one direction with a toothbrush, turn the plate 90 degrees and scrub vigorously again in the same direction across the wire mesh, flip the plate over and repeat.

Here’s one of those things:
Deodorizing old tennis shoes - Take your worst smelling pair of old tennis shoes and put them in front of your Fresh Air by EcoQuest air purifier. Make sure your shoes are in a position that they will get adequate air flow through them. Turn on the Fresh Air machine and turn on Sanitize for 2 to 4 hours.
You might want to do this in a garage or in a separate room of your house so the smell isn’t too strong for your family.
After 2 to 4 hours the smell from the tennis shoes should be gone. If it still lingers repeat the process for another 2 to 4 hours with your air purifier from EcoQest International.
